What do the trees think of you when you enter their presence?

Do they quickly hush their choruses, worried they will scare you off; wanting you to stay a little while and get to know each other?

Do they worry you’ll share their secrets with the wrong creatures, spreading rumors and misconstrued misconceptions?

Do they thrash about overhead, throwing leaves and things at you, driving you out?

Are they just in awe of you as you are of them?

Do you feel them spreading their branches wide and welcoming you in?

Clearing an area for you to rest.

Giving you a chance to speak and be heard.

Giving you the shelter, the sunlight, the shade that you are so desperately seeking.

I wonder,

What do they think of me?
